Transforming scars into a powerful artwork!

Hi everyone, I’m Dorisz.

As the founder of Ink that Heals, I specialize in medical and scar cover-up tattooing. To me, this work is more than a profession; it is my passion and my way of giving back.

I believe that while our scars tell our history, they don’t have to dictate our future. My mission is to help survivors of trauma—whether from complex surgeries, accidents, or personal journeys of self-harm—reclaim their bodies and their confidence.

A Safe Space for Everyone
I also provide a private, compassionate, and strictly judgment-free environment for those looking to transform scars from self-harm or past surgeries. I understand the courage it takes to reach out, and I am here to help you turn those reminders into something beautiful and empowering.

How You Can HelpI am looking to connect with:
  • Veteran support groups and military charities.
  • Mental health advocates and survivor support networks.
  • Individuals ready to start their healing journey.

If you know of any organizations or individuals who could benefit from my work, please let me know in the comments or via DM.

Thank You,

Dog bite scar on the face – scar rejuvenation journey (update)
This is a very meaningful update for me. I’ve been working on this case for about a year now, and it has truly been a journey. So far, we’ve completed 5 treatments, allowing 6–8 weeks of healing time between each session.
My client’s story is a powerful one. When she was just a toddler, she was attacked by a dog, leaving her with significant facial scarring. Doctors needed 40 stitches to carefully reconstruct parts of her face. Despite how well the scars healed medically, they remained a lifelong reminder of that traumatic experience.
About a year ago, she came to me and asked if there was anything I could do to help. I was honest with her — I cannot make scars disappear. But I can help soften the surrounding tissue and, by using skin-tone pigments, gently fade the white appearance of some scars.
After 5 treatments, the results have been very encouraging. She shared that the larger scar beneath her lip has softened noticeably. When she smiles now, there is much less tension, and the skin no longer feels like it’s pulling or breaking as before. The smaller scars around her upper lip have also lost much of their whiteness and blend more naturally with her skin.
We’re planning to continue with approximately 5 more treatments and reassess together as we go. I’m incredibly grateful to be part of a process that has brought her more comfort and confidence. Being able to contribute to her positive feelings about herself means more to me than I can easily put into words.
If you or someone you know is living with scars and would like to explore possible treatment options, I’m always happy to have a conversation and see if I can help.
